S2E4: Building a Strong Media Presence with Ruthie Schulder

Do you ever feel like you don’t have a strong media presence? Are you struggling with handling competition, and basically succeeding as an entrepreneur?

Let’s join Ruthie Schulder and find out how she built her strong media presence and handled the life of a business owner!

Listen to the Episode below:

In this episode, you'll hear about:

  1. How she changed her mindset to handle the competition

  2. How to overcome common misconceptions against female entrepreneurs

  3. How she built an incredible team of mentors that helped her develop.

Key Takeaways

[2:58] We think that there’s a big misconception that women don’t help each other. And I don’t believe that anymore!

[4:35] Be BOLD about what you need, be BOLD about what you’re asking for. I think as women, we’re so conditioned to make ourselves small so that other people around us feel comfortable.

[6:13] Instead of focusing on the LACK, we need to be focusing on ABUNDANCE.

[6:40] If you think that everything around you is competition, because of scarcity, then you will really behave differently.

[7:50] It’s very very likely that your first partnership will fail. But just do it! Jump off the cliff!

[9:27] Be incredibly REALISTIC that being a business owner is 24/7, it’s FULL-ON!

[10:10] The highs are really high, but the lows are really low. But I have to warn people that the amount of sugar-coating they do is great to a certain extent, but some realism has to kick in.

[11:20] I’ve built an amazing group of mentors, which has been incredibly valuable. And I think mentorship is really important!

[11:52] If this is really your path, then commit to it. Always internalise the wins. The pendulum will always swing the other way.

[19:12] You have to stake your claim on a vision, if you say that you do everything, it means you do nothing.

[19:55] To all the young women out there, be really CONFIDENT. You should know your superpower and don’t let anyone take that away from you.
