In this episode, you'll hear about:

  1. How branding starts with you

  2. People resonate with you

  3. Be on-brand

  4. Support your followers

In today’s episode, I am going to talk about your vibe and how it attracts your tribe. I’m sure you’ve heard of this before, so we’re going to go down a little bit deeper into how branding starts with you.

So you’ve probably heard about the phrase “Your vibe attracts your tribe” — probably a lot of times, especially if you are following a lot of women entrepreneurs on Instagram, on Facebook, and even watching them on YouTube. First, really understand your vibe.

What is your vibe?

So your vibe is what you give off to other people when they meet you for the very first time. But what happens if they can’t meet you? Nowadays, we are doing our businesses predominantly online, so probably 90% of the time the business is being run online. So how then do you deliver your vibe across to attract the right audience that you want and attract your tribe?

1. People can resonate with you

The first thing that you need to know is that your vibe attracts your tribe because people can resonate and you can relate to you. So the fact that it can relate to you means that you have something to offer that they really believe in.

So when we talk about vibe, what we are referring to is that:

  1. ability to deliver a message across clearly; and the

  2. emotions associated with it.

Branding really starts with you and it really helps you attract who you are. So if you are a very fun, bubbly and very realistic person, you will start to attract those type of people into your business.

The more you are behaving like who you want to attract in your business, the more they’re going to appear in your direction.

So the more you are behaving like who you want to attract in your business, your dream clients, your ideal business partners, your ideal customers, the more they’re going to appear in your direction. If you’re a very positive person, you will tend to attract more positive people as well. And if you are someone who is very empowered, you will tend to attract people who are feeling empowered as well. So, you attract who you are.

So you have to be the best version of yourself when you are delivering your message across online regardless of what platform.

And if you are delivering your message offline, then you would have to exude that kind of positivity, that kind of emotions and those values that you really and truly believe in even in your day to day conversations.

2. Be On-Brand & Don’t Confuse Your Audience

Step number two is to be on-brand and avoid confusion. I have been guilty of this a few times as well, so I can really tell you that there is a lot of things that you can do to perfect yourself from being confused by other values.

I started off my brand completely related to who I am at that point in time. I am actually quite a religious person, but I decided not to portray that anymore in my branding because I want people to look at me beyond my religion and I want people to look at me based on my values that I carry through in my life.

So I did a little tweak of all the things that I’ve ever done and said in my business. So I really removed and got rid of all the things that are off-brand. It took a lot of work. But that effort of reducing the confusion from my audience really helped me attract a better pool of audience.

Of course, it doesn’t necessarily mean that if today you change your brand, that instantly all these ideal clients will come in. It’s not overnight, but they will start appearing and they will start believing in your message. And at the end of the day, **that is what you want to do. And that’s what you want to achieve. **

Do you want your business to grow? So if you want to do that, you have to be on brand, you have to stay on your path and you really have to up your game by avoiding confusion in your message.

So they need to understand who you are. And you can just start off with the simple things like identifying five core values that you truly believe in and then focusing on that all throughout your messaging. So every single thing that you’re going to talk about online, offline has to be related to those core values.

3. Support Your Followers

And the third step about branding and how it starts with you is to support your followers.

So what I mean by this is that your followers, I’m not talking about the numbers on social media, I’m talking about actual followers in your tribe. They will tend to support you far longer if you are able to support them as well.

So usually they’re gonna come to you because you have a solution to a current problem that they are facing in their business or in their life. When you are offering that service, or that product that solves their problem, they will be more than happy to stick around.

The challenge here is to identify what is the solution that you provide and what is the problem? What is the pain point that they are facing? A lot of businesses struggle with identifying the pain points of your business. I mean, it’s not an easy thing to identify.

And truth be told, when I was writing my business plan for the very first time, I probably didn’t know what the pain point of my customers are.

But as you go along and as you grow your business, you start to see and start to tweak your business according to what those pain points are. More and more people will come towards you and they’ll be part of your tribe. The more they are associated and the more they can relate with your tribe, the more they’ll be willing to help you.

By helping you, it’s not just about buying your products. They can also help you by giving feedback and I think feedback is really a gold mine that you really need to tap on. The feedback that they can give could be as simple as “I feel that this is my problem before working with you and I never knew I had this problem, but after I worked with you I realized that I had that problem solved”.

So that is such a gold mine right there that if you do not tap on, you will be missing out in growth for your business. So your vibe really attracts your tribe and it can help you position and develop your business into the next level. So much growth that you can have potentially for your business when you reposition your message, clarify our message, and really attract the right tribe. If you want to attract the right tribe, it is time for you to fix your vibe.

Identify the cause that you believe in, and also straighten out and clarify your message.
